DA, I remember the good times we had when you were still in Lower School and I ran Dungeon Master for our D&D games on the bus.
You had such a true and honest heart. That is something I still remember to this day.

Miss you, man.

-d.

I remember DA as a young lad. He had a smile that was as bright as the sun. DA was a very special person, one who showed love to all and loved to eat. He left a legacy that we all can be proud of, but he is missed tremendously. I know that he is with God and this is my solace. DA, I will love you forever.

Love always,
Aunt Deborah

I had the privilege to play inside linebacker side by side with DA all year long my senior year. It was late in the 4th qtr,we were a few touchdowns ahead of N.S.A. and i called the defensive huddle for the 3rd down play.(i assumed they would be passing so i kept everyone back with little pressure playing it very safe). we broke the huddle and DA,then a freshman, grabs my arm and whispers "lets go get these guys..they wont even expect it". so as the ball was snapped, DA and I were in a full stride blitz and we both tackled the qb as soon as he got the ball. he and i were on the ground grinning and we turned our heads to the def. coach and he just shook his head knowing that was not the play he called. I knew that DA was a born leader from the moment he took the field in the hot summer practices and I am so blessed that i was able to spend my senior year with him on and off the field. I will never forget him.

We all were at Grandma's house one summer. Aunt Kim, Ron & Ray, Donnie (my brother) Dame and D.A. were headed to Dunkin Doughnuts at like 1 in the morning. I asked EVERYBODY who was going to bring me back a chocolate glazed doughnut and they all said "no". Even my own brother! And I offered to pay for it myself. DeShannon was my last hope for me getting that doughnut. I asked him if he would get it for me and waited to get turned down once again...and he actually said yes! DeShannon was soo sweet and I'll never forget that moment as long as I live. I was so happy....until Aunt Kim put a laxative in that same doughnut while I was sleeping. Boy was that rough! My cousin DeShannon was and still is great!

There are no words to describe how I feel about DeShannon Taylor. I was blessed to have lived with DeShannon, Damien and Kristen for several months. At the time I was 20 years old and about to be married. Damien and DeShannon were in elementary school and Kristen was four or five. We had so much fun! I remember waiting for the boys to get home from school so I could torment them! Every night we would play "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune". Gail, Kristen and I were a team and DeShannon and Damien were a team. We smoked their butts every night, but they would give us a run for our money (bear in mind that they were still in elementary school)! Without fail the boys would get angry and pout and before you knew it, out came the chess board! It was hilarious!

As the time was nearing for me to leave, DeShannon would ask me (in mock exasperation) "when are you leaving or shouldn't you be gone?" I would reply you'll miss me and he would vehemently insist that he would not. Sure enough, the day came for me to leave. As I was saying good-bye and preparing to leave I looked into DeShannon's eyes and watched as the tears slowly began to build and fall ever so silently. DeShannon was correct after all. He doesn't miss me half as much as I miss him.

Question: "What is I love you DeShannon?"
Answer: Your cousin Cheryl.

No one thing comes to mind. I just remember being kids running around the neighborhood with DA and Damien. He always had a smile on his face, and thats what I remember about him the most.

First time I spent a lot of time with DA was at UVa lax camp as a freshman in highschool. We were the only two guys that were called up to play in the all-star game from our division and we were both so pumped. He was so grounded and the nicest guy I had ever met. I NEVER heard one bad thing about DA. A true legend.

I did not know this young man, but I just wanted to write to say how thoughtful I think it is that you have created such a wonderful to remember him. We are an NA family as well. Good luck and Go Dogs!

Kings Grant Jazz versus Green Run Bulls in the VB rec league holiday basketball tournament. I've never seen it, but apparently there's footage of me falling down and busting my culo while sprinting back to defend a fast break. DA and Dame reminded me of the tape's existence almost everyday.
Sidenote, there's no way that kid Bobby was 13 years-old.

Damien- now that i think about it, it did seem like you were always the one to drive...hard to pick just one, but i think DA's in living color impersonations- Men on Film was probably his strength but he did a pretty good fire marshall bill as well.
